Oil & Gas Business Development/Sales Position

The O&G BD roll will be available to candidates based in Midland, TX or Carlsbad, NM areas but will include travel to adjacent territories (South, East, and Central Texas, and Oklahoma).

Previous sales experience in a technical environment including electrical construction, automation, panel shop and fabrication are required. 3 years minimum requirement. Remote candidates will not be considered for this position.

Preferred candidate will have a proficient aptitude in the following categories:

  • Electrical Infrastructure
  • Medium Voltage Switchgear and Motor Controls
  • Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Systems, Transformers, MCCs, VFDs, & Starters
  • Basic knowledge of Oil & Gas facility electrical architecture & site equipment
  • Automation Architecture
  • PLCs, HMIs, Wireless Radios, Communications Gateways & I/O Systems
  • Proficient knowledge of SCADA systems, and Process Flow
  • Basic understanding of Control Cabinets, and PLC Panel Construction Services
  • Experience and proven success selling electrical services including green field construction, equipment and site upgrades and modernization, and service maintenance contracts
  • Experience and proven success selling integration and automation services including PLC,

HMI Programming, SCADA Development, Process Design, I&E Services, and UL Panel Design and Construction.

Hands on field experience in the above categories is a plus, but not a requirement. It is not necessary to have the execution skills mentioned above, but rather the industry knowledge to communicate their value to a customer, and to represent DSI as leader in each category. The candidate will work closely with our project managers and estimators to deliver services and solutions on time and on budget. The role will consist of approximately 80% business development and 20% key account management. The candidate will receive a competitive salary as well as a performance-based incentive. Daily Job Duties will Incluce:

  • Developing target list for business development accounts and executing on sales strategy
  • Maintaining relationships and account management activities for existing customer base
  • Working with sales admin team and project estimators to validate project scope and requirements to ensure a successful project execution
  • Understanding changing market trends and company performance gaps and maneuver where needed to meet sales performance expectations

Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
